Rainbow Napkin

Renee West thought of the wonderful idea of making beautifully colored all cotton napkins that best of all can be reused! She developed her product and then wanted an outlet to be able to sell her napkins online and so contacted me to design her site and help with taking pictures.

I used WordPress as the backend for the site to handle the content and provide an easy way for Renee to edit text and products on the site. After doing the graphic design in Photoshop and some XHTML/CSS magic we were able to achieve a look that is simple yet elegant. I also integrated some very useful plugins within WordPress to track statistics and contact form among others to really make the site powerful and easy for Renee to use down the road.

All of the pictures of the napkins were done by Renee and I using a home made photo lightbox and a regular digital camera.

Technical Details

  • WordPress Backend – Handle the content management such as text, images, products, statistics and more.
  • PHP – Created some custom widgets for WordPress and other miscellaneous scripting.
  • CSS – Basic styles used to format dynamic text within the site.
  • Graphic Design – Designed graphics for layout of site using existing logo and other images.
  • Photography – Assisted with and did much of the photography for the products displayed on the site and used in the company logo.
